Efeitos da prática de Dança Sênior nos aspectos funcionais de adultos e idosos/Effects of Senior Dance practice on the functional aspects of adults and the elderly

EEste estudo buscou identificar e analisar os efeitos decorrentes da prática de Dança Sênior em pessoas adultas e idosas. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo e retrospectivo. O método utilizado foi o de Revisão Sistemática. A coleta de dados ocorreu entre os meses de agosto e outubro de 2016, e os estudos foram selecionados sem recorte de tempo. As bases de dados foram: Scielo, Lilacs, Bireme, Pubmed e Scholar Google. Os descritores foram: Dança, Dancing, Baile; Terapia através da Dança, Dance Therapy, Terapia através de la Danza, combinados com os termos Dança Sênior, Senior Dance, Dance Superior. Foram selecionados 12 estudos. As investigações estavam relacionadas aos aspectos físicos e funcionais. Houve a prevalência de mulheres (92%) e da faixa etária de 60 a 69 anos. Quanto aos efeitos positivos da prática da Dança Sênior, em apenas dois dos estudos, não houve alterações significativas. Percebe-se, com base nesta revisão, que as pesquisas envolvendo a Dança Sênior reiteram seu valor associado a diferentes variáveis. Ainda que já sejam encontrados estudos ratificando o impacto positivo da Dança Sênior, sugerem-se novos estudos focalizando a metodologia para o ensino da Dança Sênior e a investigação dos aspectos subjetivos e afetivo-emocionais, permitindo ampliar as reflexões na área da saúde e suas aplicações para diferentes contextos e populações.
