Resumo de tese e Dissertação: Percepção tátil no estado de vigília: análise descritiva de respostas em bebês de 0 a 6 meses de idade.
Abstract
O presente estudo se propôs a analisar as respostas de bebês de 0 a 6 meses de idade, submetidos à estimulação tátil, no estado de vigília. A amostra foi composta por 64 sujeitos, divididos em 7 faixas etárias. Foram utilizados 9 tipos de estimulação tátil, sendo 6 com objetos e 3 feitos manualmente e denominados de “sociais”. A testagem foi filmada em video-tape e os dados resultados categorizados em 5 tipos de respostas comportamentais: respiração, sucção, expressão facial e movimentos corporais Coletou-se também o tempo de duração da resposta ao estímulo. Os resultados indicaram que não houve diferenças significativas nas respostas dos bebês, ao longo do desenvolvimento, em termos quantitativos. As observações quantitativas, no entanto, indicaram modificações consideráveis nas respostas motoras e na expressão facial.
